Bear with me all as I post this blog, I have had to do the unimaginable and feel the need to talk and encourage you all to gather your kids and hug them.
A couple in our church just lost their daughter, who was only 3, to pneumonia. She died on Thursday..and today we held her services and buried her. Andy and I knew the couple, but not well and we were asked to sing at the services. How I managed to make it, I do not know, but seeing that small pink casket made me realize even more what a gift we have been given in our children. Singing the words to the songs had a whole new meaning with her laying out at my feet.
She was a vibrant little girl at the beginning of the week and by the end she was gone. I know God has a plan somewhere in the things He does, but today I could not see it in anyway at all.. I came home to two beautiful kids and hugged them fiercely but more than anything, thanked God for making me their mom. I have only one day at a time with them, and I need to make the most of each moment, no matter how hard it is (on those days they are misbehaving) because you never know when your time to go home is.
So with tears streaming down my face as I snuggle my son to sleep for his nap, I encourage you to cherish the moments with anyone special in your life.. Hug your kids, significant other, best friends and anyone you love. Time goes by fleetingly and the moments you live with those in your life with be with you forever...
Sorry for the tears and doldrums in this post, but today was hard and I just needed to share...
love you all

Darby,
I think we all could stand to look up and be more thankful instead of looking down and complaining. Thank you for sharing. God does have a plan and I think we just have to have faith even when we don't understand. Regardless, I can't imagine what your friends are going through. Can't imagine.
Love,
Chrissy
Oh, Darby! I'm so sorry for that family! It makes me appreciate the Playdough in my shoes. (((HUG)))

Darby,
Kieren was very ill last night so we went to the doctor this morning. She has pneumonia. It came on within 24 hours. So many people ignore these illnesses because they think nothing can happen that quickly. I wish more parents would be more quick to seek treatment.
