Well, for those who know me having Ellie was new to me in the beginning but I got the hang of it and loved having a girl to snuggle with, dress up and dote on.. I was pretty free to go anywhere with ellie because she loved the carseat, stroller and going new places. All in all I loved having a girl.
When number two came along, adjusting has been a whole new world.. First of all, you have to majorly watch out for flying pee pee when changing diapers and somehow the gas expulsion is nothing like Ellie had when she was young... Dont get me wrong I love my little "power pooper" as we have affectionately started calling him because no matter what the situation is I get pooped on or he fills his drawers to cover the outfit of the day. Needless to say the laundry is once a week at a minimum. We laugh (Andy more than me) and say its all in what the Darby Queen eats and fills his blizzard with. Somehow I dont love the Dairy Queen reference as much as Andy does but what can you do.
He is also not a fan of the carseat or stroller.. Seeing how at 4 months he is 18 pounds, carrying him for a long time tends to wear out the arms. (Althougth I am getting some really good biceps these days). We have proceeded to the second carseat since growing out of the infant one and that is helping some, but the true test will be our first major road trip the weekend before Halloween. Will keep you posted.
All this ranting to say its a new adventure having two (girl and a boy) but they fill my days with lots of adventure. Ellie loves her brother and helping me take care of him. She especially likes to know that we are taking Noah with us when we go out.. She always asks "Mama, can we take Noah?" Of course I wouldnt leave him at home, but it reassures her to know he gets to come...
All this to say, when I have moments like these shots, its all the fun I will ever need having 2 pickles named Ellie and Noah..
